A former captain on the Iowa State football team, Jeff got his master's in science and translated a passion for helping people into coaching Acceleration Iowa and CrossFit. He has been coaching since 2011.

Shawn graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology in 2008. He has been the Director of Acceleration Iowa since then.

Tucker began his career as a sports performance coach in a 2 year coaching internship role with the University of Maryland Men's and Women's basketball teams. In that role he assisted with all strength/conditioning and recovery sessions, practice load monitoring, and nutrition.
After the completion of his internship he became the Supervisor of Sports Performance at the MedStar Health Orthopedic and Sports Center in Washington DC. In that role he coached high school, college, and professional athletes from 15 different sports, and worked closely with physical therapists and orthopedists during injured athletes' return to play process.
As a former athlete that played 4 sports in high school, 1 year of college football, and 5+ years working with athletes, Tucker appreciates that importance of a great training plan and the impact it can have on an athletes' success. His passion is to help youth and high school athletes reach their athletic potential and reduce their risk of injury through high level assessments and training. Outside of his work as the Director of AI, Tucker is a Regional Coach for the sports leadership organization, Lead 'Em Up.
